The India Meteorological Department officials have forecast light to scant rain during the coming four days. Heavy rains last week caused hours-long traffic jam sand water logging but brought down temperature in the city.

Between July 28 and July 31, the city received heavy rains totalling at 104.1mm. This took the city from a 7% rain deficit on July 27 to 17% excess monsoon rains by July 31.

The city has received 327.4 mm of rain between June 1 and July 31. It usually receives 280.5 mm during this time.

The north, northwest, south, and south-west parts of Delhi have received most rain till now. East, northeast, and northwest Delhi are experiencing a poor monsoon.

I MD officials said August would see heavier rains in northwest India, of which Delhi is a part.

The maximum and minimum temperature was recorded at 32.7 and 26.4 degrees Celsius.

The IMD has forecast light rain or drizzle for Tuesday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be between 32 and 26 degrees Celsius.
