20-yr-old disc jockey killed in accident

A 20-year-old boy, working as a disc-jockey at a pub in south Delhi, was killed when he was hit by a truck coming from the wrong side at Nelson Mandela Marg in Vasant Vihar on Friday morning.

The victim, identified as Mukesh Kumar, was on his bike when he had a head-on collision with the truck.

Kumar was heading to his Palam house when the accident took place. "A PCR van standing nearby rushed him to the hospital but doctors declared him brought dead. He died due to head injuries and excessive bleeding," a senior police officer said.

Kumar had gone to Munirka to drop a friend and was returning home. Police have arrested the driver of truck, Shaifq Khan, 30.

A case of causing death due to rash and negligent driving has been registered against Khan.
