Three labourers were killed and two others injured when they fell into a drain after the floor caved in at a construction site in Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in New Delhi.

The incident took place at the construction site for tax-way of Terminal-III at around 10:30 am., Deputy Commissioner of Police (IGIA) Sanjay Kumar said. Those dead were identified as Pushpender, Jatinder and Ravinder while the injured were Umesh and Pran Singh. All the victims were in their mid-twenties and hailed from Katni district in Madhya Pradesh.
The labourers were working near the drain at the construction site, Kumar said.
The drain was open for some reasons and they slipped after its boundary caved in, Kumar said, adding they were trapped inside as mud fell on them.
Two of them -- Pushpender and Jatinder -- were taken out dead while Ravinder succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital, he said.
