A four-year-old was found murdered at a public park in west Delhi's Keshavpuram on Monday morning. The child had allegedly gone missing while shopping with his mother on Sunday evening. The park is a few metres away from the office of the area's Deputy Commissioner (DC), in Rampura area.

According to Meenu Chaudhary, deputy commissioner of police (northwest), Mohammad Afridi was found with his neck slit and a minor injury in his left hand around 8:30am at the Tankiwala Park.
Afridi was a nursery student at a local government school. His father, Chand Mohammad, runs a shoe business in Lawrence Road's B block.
According to his family, Afridi went missing from the Totaram Bazar while shopping with his mother Rubaida Khanum around 6pm. The family alleged that the police made them from pillar to post for no reason the entire night, instead of looking for him.
"When he didn't return home till 8.30pm, we decided to approach the police," said Mohammad Kadir, Afridi's uncle. "First we went to Shanti Nagar police post, from where we were directed to go to the Inderlok police station. Finally, they asked us to go to the Keshavpuram Police Station where they asked us to wait till 9am," he added.
DCP Chaudhary said the police are probing the case from all plausible angles, including that of personal enmity.
