A 28-year-old CISF jawan posted at a Delhi Metro station shot himself dead on Friday in a case of alleged suicide, which the police said could be a result of a family dispute over his relationship with a girl he married a few years ago.

The jawan, TC Rathor Alpesh, shot himself with his service pistol around 7.30am inside the CCTV control room of the Mewla Maharajpur metro station on the Violet Line, police said. Alpesh had been posted at the metro station for two years, the police said.
“We have recovered a suicide note from his possession,” said police officer Rajinder Singh. “Though the suicide note written in Hindi is not legible, it seems the deceased had some dispute with his family,” Singh said.
“Based on the preliminary enquiry, it appears the deceased had some family issue as he had been in love with a girl whom he married a few years ago and has a girl child also,” another police official investigating the case said.
Alpesh, a native of Gujarat, had joined the Central Industrial Security Force’s Metro security unit in October 2014 and is survived by his wife and a one-year-old daughter.
