Officials said the fire occurred on the sixth floor staircase of the Lok Nayak Bhavan in Khan Market area where the ED’s office is located.

“It was controlled by firemen after smoke and fire was reported early today,” officials said.

ED is the central investigation agency that looks into cases of money laundering and foreign exchange violations in the country. It comes under the finance ministry.
