Barring a few isolated areas for which the Met has predicted light to moderate rainfall over the next two days, the spell of dry weather is expected to continue. Humidity at most places was high, resulting in sultry conditions.

Rains eluded the capital for another day as humidity and temperature at above-normal-level made life a bit difficult. The Weatherman, however said, monsoon could be revived in the city with increase in rainfall activity over central and adjoining west and northwest India during the next 24 hours.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 37.7 degree Celsius, two degrees above normal while the minimum was at 28 degree Celsius, one degree above normal. Yesterday, the maximum was 38.5 degree Celsius and minimum 28.2 degrees. Humidity was recorded between 44 per cent and 75 per cent in the region. In Punjab and Haryana, the maximum hovered between two degrees celsius above normal to three notches below normal and little rainfall activity was recorded.
