Man held on rape charges

Delhi Police have arrested a call centre executive for raping his colleague in Hari Nagar area of west Delhi. Police said the 33-year-old man is married and has two children.

Delhi Police have arrested a call centre executive for raping his colleague in Hari Nagar area of west Delhi. Police said the 33-year-old man is married and has two children.

“Both were working with a private bank in Jalandhar, Punjab and met there two years ago. They developed a relationship and few months later girl moved to a Noida-based call centre,” a senior police officer said.

The accused also moved to Delhi and both started living together in Hari Nagar area of west Delhi.

“In July, the girl got to know that he is married and stopped meeting him. She then filed a complaint with police and a case was registered,” he added.

The accused was absconding since then and was arrested on Tuesday from Jalandhar.
