MCD razes unauthorised buildings in east Delhi

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi on Wednesday continued its sealing drive against unauthorised establishments in east Delhi's Madhu Vihar.

At the end of the third day of sealing, the number of shops closed stands at 132.

All of these shops — according to a statement by the civic body — are those that had come up after February 2007 and were being run in an unauthorised manner.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) also carried out demolition action against illegal unauthorised construction at 15 properties in Rohini zone.
