Nehru Place to get another Metro station

Nehru Place, that already has a Metro station, will get another one by 2016 as part of Phase 3 expansion. The station will cater 20,000 passengers every day.

The new station to be built on the Janakpuri West-Botanical Garden route will directly connect the area with Noida and the domestic terminal of the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The underground station will be constructed on the Outer Ring Road, just opposite to Paras Cinema.
The tender for the construction of the station has already been floated. Work is expected to be started by the year-end.
