Humphrey O Agbaru, was apprehended on Wednesday from Vikaspuri area in Delhi following information about his arrival. Agbaru was part of an interstate drug syndicate being operated from Mumbai, police said.

Sandeep Goel, joint commissioner of police (crime branch), said one of Agbaru’s brothers is a police inspector in Nigeria while another works with a shipping company.

“Agbaru had earlier allegedly obtained a fake passport of Botswana with a fake Indian visa from another Nigerian Gabriel Olawale Ajisafe, who was arrested by Crime Branch on February 15 along with four others. He had come to India in 1998 on a tourist visa,” said Goel.
