Though the BJP was tight-lipped about which political parties it was wooing to cross the half-way mark and form an NDA government, it gave broad hints today that "non-Congress and anti-Congress parties" were on its radar.

When asked which parties the BJP was in talks with for a possible post-poll alliance, senior party leader M Venkaiah Naidu said, "There are parties which are non-Congress and anti-Congress. They have to take the right decision as they have seen enough of Congress which has ruled and ruined the country for the last 50 years."
Venkaiah had made two quick visits to Hyderabad and reportedly got in touch with TDP leaders to bring the party into the NDA fold. He has also been given the responsibility of talking to some of the North-East parties as well as the regional parties of the South.
"Our appeal to non-Congress parties is: think about the larger interest of the country and let us all join together and work together," he said.
He said this was even more important "particularly after the Left has given the indication that they will support the Congress to keep the BJP out of power".
