Admitting difficulties in arriving at "quick decisions" Telangana issue, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday said it will take "some time" to evolve a solution that would be a "win-win" for all concerned.
Admitting difficulties in arriving at "quick decisions" Telangana issue, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday said it will take "some time" to evolve a solution that would be a "win-win" for all concerned.
"Well, there is no inaction," he said disagreeing with a journalist who said there was an impression that the government was not acting.
"Efforts are being made to find a solution, which would bring about a broad-based consensus, among all the various stakeholders," Singh sad while returning home from South Africa after a three-day visit.
"There is a long history of the Telangana movement. It is not a new movement. It has been there since the mid-fifties," he said.
Admitting that "there are difficulties in arriving at quick decisions", he said, "given the complications involved in settlement, it will take some time and that's why we have been engaged in widespread dialogue and discussions with all the stake-holders. It is our hope that out of that will emerge a solution which is a win-win situation for all concerned."
