Giving young audiences a sneak peak into the world of theatre, Jashn-e-Bachpan, the ongoing theatre festival at the National School of Drama (NSD), is running to packed houses daily.

Conducted by Theatre in Education, also known as Sanskaar Rang Toli, the festival, spread over a fortnight, was brought forward this year to coincide with the Common-wealth Games.
“To impart vivacity to the festival, several installations for children have also been included this year,” said NSD director Anuradha Kapoor.
Theatre groups from Nepal, Germany and Bangladesh are participating in the festival that has 27 plays to offer. In its seventh year, the theatre event is receiving a good response, especially from children.
The festival showcases plays from 5.30pm onwards everyday. It will be on till October 15.
