Thieves break into jeweller’s house

A gang of thieves allegedly entered a jeweller's house in Sarojini Nagar and decamped with gold items worth Rs 30 lakh.

According to police, the incident happened on Sunday night when the house-owner, Satish Jaiswal, had gone out with his family. "He had gone to attend a function at his relative's house. He found the house burgled when he returned," said a police officer.

Police said the main door of the house was found unlocked when Jaiswal returned home. "We have filed a case and are investigating the matter," the officer added.
