Lt Gen S K Sahni, a former director general of the Army Supply Corps (ASC), had approached the Tribunal on June 4 to seek quashing the disciplinary proceedings against him by the Army saying he was not given opportunity to defend himself during the CoI.

Asking Sahni to report to the Summary of Evidence proceedings against him at the 11 Corps Headquarters in Jalandhar, the Tribunal asked Sahni to raise his issues before the Army authorities there.

Sahni was earlier given partial relief by the Tribunal in the case by asking the Army to reinvestigate his role in the alleged scam.

The former ASC chief is the first Lt Gen against whom the Army had recommended disciplinary proceedings in a case of corruption in 2007.
