Truck driver shot at in Narela

A 32-year-old truck driver was shot at allegedly by three bike-borne assailants who attempted to rob him of his truck in outer Delhi's Narela on Saturday night.

A 32-year-old truck driver was shot at allegedly by three bike-borne assailants who attempted to rob him of his truck in outer Delhi's Narela on Saturday night.

Police said the incident took place around 11pm in Bakner village in Narela and the truck driver has been identified as Kamal Kumar, a resident of Metro Vihar in outer Delhi.

Police said Kumar was standing next to his truck with three friends when the assailants arrived on their motorcycle. "They tried to rob his truck but were resisted by Kumar. One of the men then shot at Kumar in his stomach. He was rushed to Raja Harishchandra Hospital from where he was shifted to Lok Nayak Hospital," said a police officer.
