Education reforms to be put back on track, says Shashi Tharoor at FICCI summit

Going by what the Minister of State for Human Resources, Shashi Tharoor, had to say at the recent FICCI Higher Education Summit 2012, things will soon be back on track for the Indian education system. The government will seriously pursue 20 pending bills in Parliament to bring about much-needed changes in the higher education system.

Also, 50 centres for advance research and training will be set up during the 12th plan period and work on setting up National Mission for Faculty Development be expedited, Tharoor said.
