Vijayawada’s Bhogi Suraj Krishna who bagged the No. 1 rank in the IIT-JEE Main 2018 examination has topped engineering stream of the Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET), results for which were declared Wednesday.
Hyderabad’s Gattu Maitreya, who came fifth in the IIT JEE-Main exam, bagged the second rank in EAMCET, said Ganta Srinivasa Rao, minister for higher education, at a press conference in Vijayawada.
The Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, Medical Common Entrance Test, or AP EAMCET, is held for admission to engineering and agriculture courses. The exams were held from April 22 to 26, this year. AP EAMCET is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada on behalf of APSCHE.
