To help students deal with a CAT that has gone online, TCYonline. com, a testing platform, has launched a 16-Week self-directed CAT online programme called 'Cat-a-log'

When asked how TCY was planning its moves to take on this CAT challenge, Kamal Wadhera, CEO, TCYonline.com, said "The offering is not as recent as it is perceived. We offered free CAT online course in the year 2008 and have successfully trained around 50 000 students online for CAT 2008 despite the fact that CAT 2008 was not online." He adds, "We expect to have more than 1.5 lakh students."
The emphasis is basically on creating an amicable online environment by incorporating an advanced testing engine. First and foremost efforts are made to make an aspirant friendly with the online testing system. As and when the graph for compatibility with the online system improves, the next step focuses on appearing for the tests and further maintaining a log of their results, analysing and comparing those results with the past performances of not only self but anyone across the nation.
An interesting point is the capability of the testing engine to automatically offer extra tests should the student's performance be below par. This technique is beneficial in keeping a self check on an individual's daily performance thereby evaluating and diversifying his areas of further improvement towards excellence.

One of the tools offered free for all users is 'Challenge Zone', which is a fun way to compete real time with anyone and evaluate their
performance. The second and the most outstanding tool is the comprehensive test generator which allows students to customise tests from a large pool of questions from the experts so as to master their competence in the desired areas.
Then there are voice based and printable lessons along with a bunch of more than 300 online tests. The website also features a regularly updated section called 'ask a question' and 'weekly chat' which makes the entire learning experience more interactive and worthwhile.
