The pass marks for the ICSE (Class 10) examination will now be 33% instead of the present 35%.

Similarly, the pass marks for the ISC (Class 12) examination will now be 35% instead of present 40%.
The change in the passing marks for the ICSE and ISC examinations will be effective from 2018 and not from 2019 as communicated earlier by the board.
From the examination year 2018 onwards, the ISC (Class 12) practical answer scripts for subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Bio-technology will be evaluated by the appointed visiting examiners on the day of practical examination at the school itself and not evaluated at centralised evaluation centres as was done till year 2017 examination.
The time table for the ICSE and ISC year 2018 examination is also posted on the Council website—www.cisce.org.
“The dates mentioned in the time table for the ICSE and ISC year 2018 examinations may be subject to change based on the declaration of dates for the chief election commissioner of India for the states due for assembly elections,” said the circular issued by chief executive and secretary of the board.
