There were 20 questions total in the Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning part in slot 2, broken up into 4 sets.
DILR was moderate to challenging in slot 2 of CAT 2022. Two sets had 4 questions and other 2 sets had 6 questions.

The Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension sections of slot 2 of CAT 2022 was at moderate level of difficulty. In total, 24 questions were to be answered in the allotted 40 minutes.
Two passages were simple to read, 2 passages were challenging, and each had 2 questions that could be answered.

There were 20 questions total in the Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning part, broken up into 4 sets. DILR was moderate to challenging to the CAT 2021 level of difficulty. There were 5 non-MCQs.
The bar chart was simple and simply based on DI. The other three required a lot of time. One set had a combination of LR and DI.

CAT 2022 paper analysis: VARC in slot 1
VARC had a moderate difficulty level in slot 1. It had 24 questions to be answered in 40 minutes. Contrary to what was predicted, this section was a little longer than average.
There were 5 non-MCQ questions (all Verbal). Each RC paragraph contained between 470 and 500 words. Two passages were simple to read, 2 passages were challenging, and each had 2 questions that could be answered.

CAT 2022 marking scheme: No negative marking for non-MCQs
In the morning slot of CAT 2022, there was no negative marking for non- CQs. 
Each question carried +3 for both MCQs and non-MCQs with -1 for wrong answers in MCQs.

CAT 2022: Why scores are normalised
Not only in CAT, but in almost all entrance exams held in multiple shifts, candidates' scores are normalised. As question papers of different shifts could have different difficulty levels, normalisation of scores is implemented.
“In order to ensure fairness and equity in comparison of performances of candidates across different test sessions, the scores of candidates shall be subjected to a process of Normalisation. The Normalisation process shall adjust for location and scale differences of score distributions across different forms. After normalisation across different forms, the scores shall be further normalised across different sections. The Scaled Scores obtained by this process shall be converted into percentiles for purposes of shortlisting,” reads an official statement on CAT 2022 score normalisation.

What qualifying in CAT exam means
Qualifying in CAT 2022 means that a candidate is eligible to participate in the admission process. However, just qualifying in CAT does not grantee a seat at IIMs as each of the institutions have their own conditions for admitting students. In addition to meeting eligibility criteria, candidates will be required to clear further rounds which may include group discussions and personal interviews.

1. Admit card, photograph and valid photo ID.
2. Water in transparent bottle, as it is not mentioned as prohibited item.
3. Scribe affidavit for candidates who need scribe.
4. Candidates must carry IIM provided authorization form to carry any prohibited or exceptional items inside the test lab due to medical reasons.

After the exam is over, before leaving the test room, all candidates must drop the scribble pad, the pen and the admit card on drop boxes provided for it. Failing to do it may result in disqualification from the exam.
