  The institute will hold CA Inter Group I exams on May 3, 5 and 9, 2024. Group 2 exams will be held on May 11, 15 and 17, 2024.

  ICAI CA exams postponement plea: What happened during the hearing?

  During the hearing, the petitioners highlighted transportation and other issues that may arise due to the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, but the bench was of the view that no rule suggests exams can not be conducted during elections.

  It said that candidates taking the exam may face hardships cannot be a ground for the court to reschedule the exam, which is to be taken by around 4.26,000 aspirants.

  Delhi HC refuses to postpone ICAI CA Inter, Final exams

  “Mere fact that candidates taking the exam may face hardship in undertaking the exam cannot be a ground for the court to derail the exam which is to be taken by approx 4.26,000 aspirants. This court is surprised that such a request has been made,” Delhi high court says as it dismisses plea seeking to reschedule the CA intermediate and final exams.

  CA exam postponement plea: Don't appear if can't appear, court remarks

  The counsel said exams were postponed before in the wake of COVID but this is a different ground. 

  “A lot of students have problems in appearing in the exam…students have said that they have problems since there are loudspeakers. These students will be stuck."

  “Don’t appear if they can’t appear,” the bench said.

  Counsel: There are disabled candidates…there are thousands of candidates who are supporting the petitioners…the disabled candidates are of the view that there would be problems in transportation. Lots of chaos will be there. There will be campaigning. Loudspeakers will be there.
