Hospitality the world over has one key ingredient—serve with a smile. But today, you need a lot more to make it in the world of hotel management. Ecole Hoteliere Lavasa, a private autonomous institute with the academic certification of École Hôtelière de Lausanne of Switzerland, opened its doors in July this year. The hotel management institute will run four-year courses and will admit only 150 students per year. So, what does it take to become a world-class hotelier? Marco Torriani, Chairman of the Board, Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne who was in the city recently, answers the question.
