GATE 2017: Answer keys released, check them here

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, the organising institute for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017, released the answer keys of the test on its official website on Monday.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, the organising institute for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017, released answer keys of the examination on its official website on Monday.

GATE is conducted in 23 disciplines of engineering and science subjects and identifies the candidate’s understanding of a subject and aptitude and eligibility for higher studies. (Agencies)

Click here to view the answer keys of GATE 2017. A page will open containing links for question papers and answer keys of all the subjects in which the test was conducted. Click on the desired links to see the same.

The answer key/s can be challenged from 10am (IST) on March 3 until 10am (IST) on March 6.

Candidates must provide their justification for challenging a question or questions and make a payment of Rs 500 for each question through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) online.

For those who appeared in the exam from outside India, the fee is $10. The fee paid for a successful challenge will be refunded.

Candidates should be careful while quoting the question number/s while challenging it/them.

Conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and the IIT, GATE scores are used for admission to MTech/PhD programmes in IITs, IISc and various other institutes. GATE is conducted in 23 disciplines of engineering and science subjects and identifies the candidate’s understanding of a subject and aptitude and eligibility for higher studies.

GATE scores are also used as a criterion for recruitment in government organisations such as cabinet secretariat, and national and state public sector undertakings in India. Many GATE qualified candidates are paid scholarships or assistantship, especially funded by the ministry of human resources development and by other ministries.

The GATE score is valid for 3 years.
