The JEE (Main) is likely to be more competitive this time. Candidates must prepare well so that they do not succumb to pressure on the D-day. Giving some valuable tips to aspirants, RL Trikha, director, FIITJEE, says, “Attempt the easy questions first, followed by logic-based questions. Marks are deducted for every wrong answer,” he adds. “The best way to get a high rank is to attempt at least 25 questions in each section. The important sections in chemistry are organic and physical chemistry, which comprise 70 to 80% of the questions. In mathematics, coordinate geometry and algebra constitute 40 to 50% of the questions and in physics, 35 to 40% questions are from mechanics and electrostatics,” says Aakash Chaudhary, director, Aakash Education Services Ltd.
