I expected a tight slap but she only asked if I had realised my mistake and told me never to do it again. This forgiving attitude mesmerised me. With over 2,000 students on her Facebook friend list, she rocks, always.

Though Prof Shefali Shah, the head of the English Literature department, took just a single lecture with us, she made sure that it was awesome. She recited a poem, read out a short story and then went on to have a discussion on our favourite books. When I asked her why Lolita wasn’t a part of our syllabus, she replied, “Wait till you have a teenage daughter.”
