Directorate of School Education Haryana on Thursday said that shift timings for schools of the state will change from December 1.

For schools that operate in single shifts, classes will be held from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, the department said in a circular dated November 24.
At double shift schools, the first shift will begin at 7:55 am and end at 12:30 pm. The second shift will be from 12:40 pm to 5:15 pm, it added.
“The Haryana government has changed the timings of schools from December 1. The timing of single shift schools will be 09:30 am to 03:30 pm. On the other hand, in double shift schools, the timing of the first shift will be from 07:55 am to 12:30 pm and the second shift will be from 12:40 pm to 05:15 pm,” an official statement said.
Meanwhile, Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal said that 238 PM-Shri schools will be opened in all the blocks of the state. In addition to this, around ₹1 crore will be provided by the state government for the renovation of each school.

{{/usCountry}}“Besides imparting quality education, cultural and physical activities will also be organised in these schools. The Central Government has set a special criterion for selection of schools. The work of selection of schools meeting the criterion has been started. For these, a committee will be constituted at the district level, which will be reviewed by the committee constituted at the state level,” he added.
