Students can check their results on www.jeeadv.ac.in.

Of the 2.2 lakh students, who were eligible, 1.7 lakh registered and appeared for the exam held on May 21 this year.

“Since the answer key for the paper has already been released, most students are already aware of their marks. Results will only give a confirmation on these scores,” an official from the organising JEE team said.

The answer keys were released on June 4 and the organising Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) said that all students will be awarded 11 bonus marks for three ‘ambiguous’ questions that were asked in the JEE (Advanced) paper.

The education boards that share the largest chunk of students this year are that of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana among others. The gender ratio is 81% male candidates to 19% of female candidates.

This is the third year that the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is conducting admissions to IITs, National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other Government-Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).

There are over 11,000 seats available in the 23 IITs across the country.
