St Xavier’s College has a 150-year-long tradition in educational expertise. Regarded widely as one of the best colleges in the country, especially for the arts stream, the college was recently declared autonomous.

A special honours programme has been implemented, where students are encouraged to earn extra credits by way of independent research, projects, or seminars.

The college has qualified faculty to match In 2007, it was awarded the highest rating (A+) in the re-accreditation by the NAAC, an autonomous body linked to the University Grants Commission of India. The campus buzzes with cultural activities, including one of India’s biggest college fests, Malhar.

It offers courses in mass media, management studies, economics, history, psychology, sociology, political science, anthropology, ancient culture, and statistics, among others.
