DU has a new integrated MSc course in earth sciences for plus-two students

Delhi University has initiated a five-year integrated M.Sc. earth sciences course. To be offered by the Department of Geology, the course will consist of 10 semesters and will be spread over five academic sessions. Students will be required to undergo training during summer vacations as part of the programme either in the department or at other national or international laboratories.

The number of seats for the course is 25. Candidates who have passed 10+2 in sciences will be eligible for admission to the ten semester M.Sc. (integrated) course in Earth Sciences. The admission will be open to two categories of the students. Category 1 will include those who have appeared for IIT JEE. They will have to submit their score together with their application. Category 2 will include those who don't have an IIT JEE score but have passed 10+ 2 with mathematics.

Initially, the admission will be on the basis of IIT-JEE merit list, however, depending on the vacancies available, students of Category 2 will also be considered for admission. The age limit is 17 years before the first of October in the year in which he/she seeks admission.
