This June, students enrolling at Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), can look forward to some interesting courses.

These courses are being introduced for the first time in collaboration with EMC Corporation, a top worldwide software company.

Students will not be charged for these courses and the infrastructural support to the college has come from the IT industry.

Of a total 3,000 students studying at DCE, 2,880 students are enrolled at an undergraduate level.“The courses include data mining, warehousing, software development for information management. Each course will have an intake of 100 students and will last for a month. We are not creating any extra seats. These are open to all students from the first year to fourth year,” said PB Sharma, Principal, DCE.

“Under this agreement DCE as a Nodal Academy will act as the regional hub for the EMC Academy Program in North India.”

“These courses will be very useful and will provide additional knowledge to DCE students besides the prescribed syllabi. Besides it will further enhance their employment opportunities in this sector,” said Sharma.
