DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) is inviting applications for master scholarships in public policy and good governance. It is worth 750 euros ( Rs. 52,000) per month.
The scholarship also includes health insurance in Germany. It grants an appropriate travel allowance as well as a study and research subsidy and in applicable cases rent subsidies and/or family allowances. DAAD-scholarship holders are exempt from tuition fees.

Qualified graduates with a first university degree or equivalent (that have been obtained during the six years before applying the scholarship) who in the future want to actively contribute to the social and economic development of their home countries are eligible to apply. The scholarships are offered both for young graduates without professional experience and for mid-career professionals.
The scholarships are for two-year master courses (in some cases one-year courses). They are for eight selected public policy and good governance courses at prestigious German institutions of higher education. The following master courses can be undertaken at selected universities — Hertie School of Governance, Berlin: master of public policy; Universitat Duisburg-Essen: MA in development and governance; Willy Brandt School of Public Policy at the University of Erfurt: master of public policy; Leuphania Universitat Luneburg: public economics, law and politics; Hochschule Osnabruck: management in non-profit organisation; Universität of Osnabrück: master governing democratic and civil society; Univeristat Passau: governance and public policy - political sciences; Universitat Potsdam: public policy and management.
The courses are taught in both German and English.
