Spirit of cleanliness

A group of young enthusiastic volunteers from Swechha organised a clean-up drive in Jagdamba Camp, a slum community in Sheikh Sarai-I. The drive was conceptualised after realising the need of the community for a cleaner and safer space.

A group of young enthusiastic volunteers from Swechha organised a clean-up drive in Jagdamba Camp, a slum community in Sheikh Sarai-I. The drive was conceptualised after realising the need of the community for a cleaner and safer space.

These India and UK based volunteers from the youth-focused and youth-run organisation, have been working with the children of Jagdamba community for the past three months.

With the support of the residents of Khirki extension, Swechha’s environmental leaders have raised their voices to influence the local authorities for a clean neighbourhood and a better place to live.
