Chamrajpet is one of the 224 Karnataka Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Bangalore district. People of Chamrajpet voted for Karnataka Assembly Election 2023 on May 10 and the result was declared on May 13.

In the Karnataka Legislative Assembly Election 2018, Chamrajpet constituency had 21 candidates for assembly seat contention. Total 80 seats were won by the Indian National Congress, Chamrajpet was one of them. The election for Chamrajpet seat was comfortably won by Indian National Congress's B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's M Lakshminarayana by a huge margin of 33,137 votes.
The top three candidates split 97.9% of votes between them. Indian National Congress's B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan got a total of 65,339 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's M Lakshminarayana secured 32,202 votes. Janata Dal (Secular)'s candidate B K Altaf Khan grabbed the third spot with 19,393 votes. The top three parties got 54.7%, 27.0% and 16.2% respectively.
In Karnataka Assembly election 2013, Janata Dal (Secular)'s B.Z.Zameer Ahmed Khan beat Indian National Congress's G.A.Bava by 30,162 votes.
