The top two candidates split 93.8% of votes between them. All India Trinamool Congress's Jyotirmoy Kar got a total of 1,03,567 votes, while Communist Party Of India's Makhanlal Nayak secured 73,679 votes. Bharatiya Janta Party's candidate Swapan Kumar Dutta secured 10,193 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 54.8%, 39.0% and 5.4% respectively.
