Actor Halle Berry confesses to not knowing much about Bollywood, but the Oscar-award winner says she has definitely noticed Indian actors who have made it big in the West.
“I have heard of Bollywood but I don’t know much about it... (But) I know of Indians in Hollywood such as Kal Penn and Freida Pinto,” says the 46-year-old, who does identify actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan from Bollywood.
Berry noticed Ash during the latter’s second appearance on celebrity chat show host Oprah Winfrey’s signature show in 2007 along with her actor-husband Abhishek Bachchan — and reveals that was her initial tryst with the Hindi film industry.
“From Bollywood, I got a chance to catch Oprah’s episode of Aishwarya Rai. I haven’t met her but I would love to. She looked pretty on the show in a sari,” says Berry.
