John Abraham would've never thought that a simple gesture will get him in so much trouble. A simple peck on the cheek of a Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar contestant has caused much furore. John, who had drawn the wrath of the Sugandha's grandfather, has now publicly apologised for his action.
Earlier, John had planted a kiss on Sugandha's cheek after she confessed that she had a huge crush on him. Though she was thrilled to bits, her grandfather made quite an issue about it. He was even quoted saying "Ye John lafanga kaun hai jo meri beti ke saath aisi harkate karta hai?"
After John heard about the incident, he sheepishly apologised to her grandfather on national television. But the drama didn't end there. John went ahead and proposed to Sugandha and believe it or not, she said yes.
We asked Sugandha if her grandfather would lose his cool again and Sugandha said, "He is now convinced that John means no harm. He doesn't think he is a lafanga!"
Ask her about John and she couldn't stop gushing about him. "John is so gentle and humble. He makes everyone around him very comfortable. Even back stage he asked me if everything was ok back home."
So, would she marry him in real life? "Of course," she concluded.
