Socialite heiress Paris Hilton's family is delighted with her break-up with Doug Reinhardt as they feel the American basketball player-actor was dating her for monetary gains.
Hilton's six-month romance with Reinhardt ended early June.
"The stories out there about our family not approving of their relationship are completely true. Doug was riding Paris' coat-tails. The break-up affected me in a good way. It's definitely time for Paris to move on," buzzhollywood.com quoted Hilton's aunt Kyle Richards as saying.
The House of Wax stars' mother Kathy followed suit saying: "I think Paris needs to be with someone who is a bit more mature, older and has their own thing."
Post-break up with Reinardt, Hilton has been linked to soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo.
