From what was supposed to be his film debut with a popular production house going kaput and his comedy show scoring high on the popularity chart, to the news that he might take a break from it, Kapil Sharma never stopped making headlines. The comedian looks back at the year with pride.
How would you say 2014 has been for you?
The year was wonderful. It all started in 2013 with my show garnering positive response. I feel humbled to be part of a show that has scored top ratings since its launch. This year, I also signed a film with director duo Abbas-Mustan and I lost 3 kg too.
How do you feel about being in the news constantly?
I don’t like being in the news. I rarely give interviews. I feel that there isn’t much to talk about me. I like to connect with my fans through social media, which, I feel, is the best way. But, I guess

What do you look forward to in 2015?
People will see me in a new avatar. I am working on losing more weight. I am looking at finalising one or two more films next year. I have been getting offers, but I want to wait for my debut release first.
