Who is Ravi K Chandran?

Veteran Ravi K Chandran started his career in the Malayalam film industry as an assistant to his brother, cinematographer, Ramachandra Babu ISC. Later he worked with Rajiv Menon. He went on to work in Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil cinema. Some of his best works include Virasat, Dil Chahta Hai, Major Saab, Kannathil Muthamittal, Kannezhuthi Pottum Thottu, Black, Fanaa, Koi... Mil Gaya, Ghajini and Saawariya.

Following in his footsteps, his son Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran joined movies. He made his big debut in Bollywood with Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 2. He has worked for films like Kabir Singh, Happy New Year and Nota. Talking about joining the industry, Santhana had told DNA India, “There’s definitely a lot of pressure. And every time I do a film, I’ll be compared to my dad because he has a great filmography. I need to live up to it, so it’s pushed me harder to do better. My dad is my guide. He showed me the way to go about filming, but at the same time, he also gave me space. We’re two different people who have their own way of making films. People like Ahmed sir call me the calmer version of my dad.”
