Numerous Vikram and Sivakarthikeyan fan pages posted videos of the actors catching up during the interval of Veera Dheera Sooran. The video, shot at a theatre in Chennai, shows the audience whipping out their phones to record as Sivakarthikeyan hugs Vikram and talks to him about the film.

What happened

On March 26, Mumbai-based production company B4U, which held the digital rights, approached the Delhi High Court alleging that the film’s producer, Riya Shibu of HR Pictures, had announced the film’s release before finalising the OTT deal. Shows were cancelled on March 27 when the HC ordered an interim stay until 10:30 am and ordered the producer to deposit 7 crore and submit documents within 48 hours.

Given that the SU Arun Kumar-directorial was slated for release on March 27 and Vikram had extensively promoted the film already, the issue was resolved and shows were announced in the evening. Veera Dheera Sooran also stars SJ Suryah and Suraj Venjaramoodu in key roles.
