Whitney Houston’s mother, Cissy, reportedly broke down in tears after an autopsy report revealed that her daughter was deep into cocaine when she died.
Cissy, who is herself an accomplished gospel singer, is apparently ‘devastated’ over the LA County Coroner’s report as she fears that her daughter will now be remembered as a druggie and not as a talented singer and family woman.
The Coroner’s findings divulged that white powder (which tested positive for cocaine), a drug spoon and other trappings of drug use were found in the hotel room.
Cissy singled out Whitney’s performance of the National Anthem at the 1991 Super Bowl, and hoped people remembered her for such performances.
“This is the type of thing people should remember Whitney for,” TMZ quoted her as saying.
“No one’s perfect. Only the Lord can judge,” she added.
