An egg, a pair of heels and your socks — would you use these weird beauty blenders?

The internet can be fun and sometimes, it can serve a big dose of quirk too. If you love makeup, you need to check out some of these weird (and wonderful?) alternatives to a beauty blender.

The most important part of getting your makeup right involves the act of blending well. Whether it’s your foundation, concealer, contour, or eyeshadow — it’s safe to say, that a smooth finish is the key. It’s no surprise then that people invest in a range of brushes, sponges and more to get the blend right. However, there are some who take their search too far. From condoms and tampons to even a pair of luxury heels — here are some of the craziest beauty blenders that makeup lovers have come up with.

Louboutin heels

Who knew footwear would come handy when it comes to blending makeup? Beauty blogger Sadia uses heels from the French luxury brand to make sure her makeup is on point. We thought it sounded tricky, but she makes it look pretty effortless in her Instagram videos. The heels, of course, are wrapped in a plastic film. Clearly, nothing is more important than the red-soled heel, not even makeup.

Condoms

An incredulous “Wth?” was our first reaction too. But it’s true. Bloggers and makeup fans have tried using condoms as a beauty blender. While some stuff the rubber with their beauty sponges, others fill it up with lotion. Why did the trend catch up, you ask? Well, it reportedly saves all the makeup that your sponge would otherwise absorb, so, it makes for less wastage.

Tampons

Tampon or beauty blender YOU DECIDE 😂 lol I think we know what we like more. Laugh at this!

Yes, this one has been tried too. Beauty bloggers gave female sanitary products a try to help them apply their makeup, and they too were just as unimpressed as we are. The process appears tedious and the idea of a tampon on the face is no less than disturbing, for most.

Eat it, blend it

Eggs, tomatoes, potatoes — your grocery can also double up as a beauty blender, according to some videos shared by beauty bloggers. Blogger Mo gives potatoes a try, but we know how that works out when he gives up a few seconds into the video.

However, blogger Esther uses a hard boiled egg to blend her makeup and seems to enjoy it. Her caption reads: “Well anyway did it work YES it did, would I use it again hmmmm MAYBE .”

Bra inserts

People at Huda Beauty got inspired to try out a bra insert after the success of a silicone sponge. They use the ‘Boob blender’ to apply foundation and concealer both, and love the hack. It doesn’t absorb any product and the application is smooth, they say. Are you convinced?

Socks

Beauty blogger Mayra inspired other bloggers to try out a sock after using the hack herself. She just turns the sock inside out till it’s all stuffed and rolled into a ball, and blends away.
