Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was a fiery red queen on the second red carpet appearance at the Cannes Film Festival this year. The actor chose a multi-layered ruffled Ralph & Russo gown in a stunning red.
While it is often considered a hard rule to not wear red on red carpet, Aishwarya couldn’t seem to care less about it. Her off-shoulder dress exuded a glorious Spanish vibe and she looked like she’d break into a graceful dance any moment. The torso of her outfit was embellished with sparkly stones in a floral pattern.
Aishwarya chose to give her hair thick waves and completed the look with chandelier diamond earrings adorned with rubies. Her make-up was classy with only her bold ruby lips and heavy eyelashes bringing in the drama.
The actor is walking the red carpet as the brand ambassador of L’Oreal Paris. She is a regular at the festival, having attended it several times before for the brand and also as a jury member.
Aishwarya wore a voluminous powder blue gown on Friday by Dubai-based Filipino fashion designer Michael Cinco.
While Aishwarya walked the red carpet on days 3 and 4 of the festival, actor Deepika Padukone was L’Oreal’s representative for the opening two days. Day 5 and 6 of the festival will see actor Sonam Kapoor represent the brand.
The festival kicked off on May 17 and will wind up on May 28.
