Designer Rohit Verma arrested, released
The fashion designer was arrested for non appearance in connection with a case of hurting religious sentiments filed in 2000.

Fashion designer Rohit Verma was arrested by the police after a local court issued a non bailable warrant against him for non appearance in connection with a case of hurting religious sentiments filed in 2000.
"We arrested Verma yesterday in connection with the case after receiving information that he will be in the city for attending a fashion show," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Social Service Branch) Sanjay Mohite said.
Verma was produced in a local court which released him on a bail asking him to be present for court proceedings in the case.
