While international celebs such as singers Madonna, Rihanna and American TV show host Ellen DeGeneres have been a fan of the ‘girl in a tux’ look for a long time, Bollywood divas, too, seem to be catching up with the trend fast.

Suiting up for a party is no longer only a man’s business. While international celebs such as singers Rihanna and American TV show host Ellen DeGeneres have been a fan of the ‘girl in a tux’ look for a long time, Bollywood divas, too, seem to be catching up with the trend fast.

Recently, actors Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt and Aditi Rao Hydari were spotted rocking the crisp business look on the red carpet, instead of the staple dresses and gowns.

“Even though the androgynous look is not new, it’s Angelina Jolie who made pants on the red carpet super hot again with her look at the BAFTAs recently,” says designer Anand Bhushan. He predicts, “After the suits, it’ll be sneakers over heels on the red carpet.” If you, too, are game for androgyny, designer Jenjum Gadi advises: “Don’t overdo it. Go for feminine cuts and floral prints on suits.”
