A one-of-its-kind fashion show in the Capital held at Le Meridian hotel marked the launch of an eco-friendly initiative by a tyre manufacturer in collaboration with the Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI).

“One cannot spot the difference at all. These shoes are as comfortable as any other pair of shoes and are cost effective too. The bags too are durable and look elegant and quite stylish,” says Raghupati Singhania of the tyre company, who wore a pair of black recycled shoes and walked the ramp as the showstopper.
The students of FDDI have designed the shoes and bags from various used tyres and tubes.
