The biggest showman in the fashion business, Rohit Bal’s scintillating presentation brought down the curtains of second Van Heusen India Men’s Week at The Grand on Sunday evening. The ineffective air conditioning of the venue hotel made the guests sweat it out real hard as the show started really late, but the show was worth the wait.

Blending India with a contemporary feel, the collection had both Indian and western wear. Bal rocked the crowd in his imitable way as usual. Earlier in the afternoon, designer duo from Jaipur Rohit & Abhishek came out with an array of excellent jackets and Jodhpuri trousers. Construction was perfectly executed and the same was seen all the way through their showing.

Debutant designer Smit Raj’s presentation of white paired with lilac and red looked interesting as well. Sanchita Ajjampur’s collection on the runway spelt easy styles that breathed comfort. The designer presented muslin jersey blazers, cotton jackets, embellished shirts, kurtas and jackets.
