It’s time for runway glamour to take over the capital again, as Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week-Spring/Summer 2015 kicked off in Delhi on Wednesday, with a five-day affair scheduled to be held at Pragati Maidan.
Now in its 24th edition, 124 designers are lined up to showcase their creations on the runway and through stalls. While Péro by Aneeth Arora kicked off the fashion week with a signature romantic collection, Love on Foliage and ace designer Rohit Bal will do the grand finale with Qutub Minar as his backdrop, on Sunday.
Bal will pay tribute to the beauty of Kashmir with his collection, Gulbagh.

Starting Wednesday, it’ll be all about hopping from one show to another, backstage hustle, front row shenanigans, and of course, unfettered creativity at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, helmed by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI).

“We have brought together distinct hand-crafts. One of these is crochet, for which we worked closely with a group of refugee women from Afghanistan,” read the concept note.
The day will see a showcase by designer Atsu Sekhose, and end with designer Tarun Tahiliani, and with creations inspired by UK-based twin sisters Amrit and Rabindra, artists who go by the name of The Singh Twins.
“I went into a hypnotic trance when I first saw their work,” Tahiliani said of his inspiration.
